Nando’s kitchens are known for serving-up spicy food, but the real heat is felt throughout the entire retail sector, especially when it comes to meeting customer satisfaction, retaining staff and keeping up to date with the latest trends.

As a global organization, Nando’s wanted to give their employees a suitable digital workplace that accurately reflected individuality whilst promoting their culture and values.
Crucial to the success of a new digital workplace was the adherence to Nando's global branding and design and a truly friendly user interface. Their old platform had none of this. Their global workforce was not engaging with it, and it poorly impacted employee productivity.
To support Nando’s business objectives, ClearPeople delivered an Innovation Portal on Atlas. Atlas is an Office 365 people-first digital workplace. It combines communication, knowledge and collaboration all in one place. This is the perfect solution to rise to the challenges set by Nando's.
“ClearPeople partnered closely with Nando’s to address key digital collaboration strategy requirements providing customised branded digital portals via their Atlas framework solution to enhance information sharing and collaboration internationally across the entire group.”
Global restaurant chain Nando's began life in 1987 when Fernando Duarte and Robert Brozin were so impressed with peri peri chicken served in a restaurant in a Johannesburg suburb that they decided to buy the business. Renaming it to Nando's after Fernando's firstborn son they soon had four local outlets including one in Portugal. Three years later, they began a rapid expansion plan and today Nando's operates in over 1,000 outlets across 35 countries.
The Atlas Digital Workplace includes out-of-the-box communications, collaboration and knowledge capabilities for end-users, management and IT. Atlas defines a new digital workplace platform category known as a "Knowledge Productivity Platform".
Atlas is installed within the customer's Microsoft 365 (Office 365) tenant and Azure infrastructure, leveraging existing Microsoft 365 licenses, security/compliance settings, Active Directory and more.
The platform fully supports Microsoft Teams, Yammer, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Groups, Planner, OneNote, Power Apps, Power BI and much more.
