HFW has been named a Finalist in the Knowledge Management Innovation category at this year’s Legal Week Innovation Awards. They had some tough competition from the likes of Macfarlanes in a category that recognises law firms with the most outstanding demonstration of innovation in the arena of knowledge management.
As an international law firm with over 500 lawyers working in 19 offices across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia, they required an intranet with sophisticated knowledge management capabilities. The intranet needed to not only improve lawyer efficiency with significant improvement in access to know-how and precedents, but it needed to create greater awareness of relevant case law; improve the search experience; and allow access to federated client information through integrations with other internal systems. Essentially, HFW needed a platform that could support the business needs of the firm.
ClearPeople were delighted to partner with HFW and their consulting firm 3Kites to design and implement a new knowledge management intranet that is not only welcoming to all users, but provides access to relevant and useful information that allows users to be more effective in their day-to-day work activities.
The awards, now in their fourth year, took place at The Brewery in the heart f of London and recognised leaders in the pack from law firms, chambers, in-house legal departments and alternative business structures for setting precedents, game-changing projects and initiatives.
On the award, ClearPeople’s co-founder and managing director, Katya Linossi, said: “We’re thrilled the intranet we helped implement was nominated at this year’s Legal Week Innovation Awards. HFW are a very forward-thinking law firm and it was a pleasure to collaborate with such innovative thinkers on a project that is achieving great success. Their team continue to deliver an evolving platform and it’s great to see their work commended.”
