ClearPeople is pleased to launch a significant release of Atlas. Atlas 3.0 focuses on extending the way Atlas supports hybrid working scenarios as well as empowering non-technical users even further by reducing complexity and enabling more self-service capabilities.
Guillermo Bas, Product Manager, says: “3.0 is a major milestone for Atlas. We have revamped the Azure infrastructure to improve performance, security and scalability. Aside from some great features requested by our customers, we have also developed an Atlas API and Extensibility Framework that will open up Atlas to extend its functionality and features and enable it to manage environments at a huge scale - many tens of thousands of workspaces, teams and groups.”
"Atlas 3.0 has included an overhaul to the Connex provisioning engine inside of Atlas", says Stephen Bedford, Product Director at ClearPeople. "These changes enable us to do many more things with Atlas Connex, and make Atlas a really critical line of business application for many of our clients."
Atlas ConneX
Atlas ConneX is the engine that powers Atlas. It makes Microsoft Teams and teamwork more effective by allowing non-technical users to create collaboration spaces with the right permissions and structure within minutes, while still applying business rules and best practice. Atlas ConneX provisioning experience has been improved, including multilingual support for taxonomy filters as well as newly designed cards with quick access to workspace resources. The improved architecture also allows for greater scalability and performance.
Atlas Extensibility Framework
The all-new Atlas API enables custom integration with Atlas for information from any third party apps or tools. The Advanced Extensibility Framework provides the ability to create custom workspace templates.
Atlas Hero Mode
A new addition to our Atlas In Focus web parts, Atlas Hero Mode is a layout that showcases your top news and content the way it deserves to be displayed. It also enables content management through tagging, increasing engagement on your key pages and automatically keeping content fresh and relevant.
Atlas Launchpad
One of the most extensively used features in Atlas, Atlas Launchpad now supports multi-lingual requirements, including fully customizable icons and labels for each language.
Atlas Mandatory Read
A popular feature, Mandatory Read has been further improved with features such as mandatory read pages (not just documents) and data integration with tyGraph. In a hybrid working world, it's important to know if key information and documents are being read, that they are available for quick access and that engagement can be tracked with analytics.
Atlas Tool Set
Synchronize for Active Directory and Term Store Backup have been added specifically for administrators and internal IT. Until Atlas 3.0 was released, when you deleted terms, all sub-terms were effectively deleted as well. There was no log, no recycle bin and therefore no easy way to restore the deleted term set - until now. Atlas 3.0 provides peace of mind.
